Him

She feared, but also loved him
She knew she would have to go to him in the end
And so would everyone else
There was no escape
Who is he you ask?

Death.

Questions

"What is earth made up of?"

"70% water..."

"No, that's a boring answer."

"Okay. It's made up of...chocolate and....blue paint!"

"And how did we get here?"

"We flew here."

"From where?"

"The moon."

"Why?"

"Because a big monster destroyed our house on the moon."

"And we flew here?"

"Yes."

"We could fly?"

"Yes."

"Why can't I fly?"

"Because we learnt how to live on earth."

"But we could fly on earth too."

"Yes we could. But over here....we have cars to take us everywhere."

"Okay. Goodnight."

"Finally."

Tea Party

The girls in my class had tea parties
But never invited me
“Can I come to your tea party?” I asked once
“No.” Was the straight reply
So I decided to have my own
I made invitations
And gave them out to every girl in my class
4:00. I sat with cake and tea on my table
But no one came
“They must have thought 5:00 my dear.” Said my mother
I waited till 7:00, but no one came.

“Let’s have a tea party.” I said recently to my friends
We agreed to have it at my place
And they came
And we had the best tea party ever

Bindi

The teacher talked about something

She wasn’t listening

She was looking at her teacher’s bindi

Her big, fat bindi

It was bright red

It reminded her of the sun

The sun that gives us vitamin D

“What if there were no sun?”

She wondered,

“The world would be dark

The kids would have no sunlight to play in

The plants would bathe in darkness

The world would not know when to awake

We would be but, sad without the sun”

She looked hard at her bindi

The mind was everything, but distracted
